How to style Tant Saree in aesthetic way πŸŒΈ

Hello everyone , hope you all are fine and doing great . I am getting bored and just want to step out . But it can’t be at this moment.

I am styling my old clothes in a new way and trying to find some interesting outfits.

Suddenly few days back I found two beautiful tant sarees in my mom’s wardrobe . My mom bought these sarees around 6-7 years ago.

Since childhood I am noticing that when my mom wears tant sarees she look so beautiful. But I felt that if i wear this type of saree , I will not look good that much . I don’t know why but I felt this way.

After styling those sarees I found that tant saree may look good on me too.

Tant saree is a traditional Bengali saree , originating from Bengal region and usually used by Bengali women . The term ‘tant’ refers to the handlooms in Bengal that are used to weave cotton sarees.

Do you gyus can remember ‘Sruti ‘( lleana D’Cruz) from the movie ‘Barfi’? She was looking heavenly beautiful in tant sarees . We can’t forget the elegance of her look .

Now , I am going to share how I styled those sarees .

Look 1

With the elegance of oxidized jewellery β™₯️

For the first look I went for a light green tant saree which has red border . I drapped myself in that saree followed by a sleeveless red blouse . Kept myself elegant with a heavy oxidized necklace and one bracelet . I completed this look with light eye makeup , red lip colour and open hair .

I didn’t use any earrings for this look. When you wear a heavy necklace then you should avoid earrings . I feel that it may give you a messy look sometimes .

You can carry this look at any family function .

Look 2

Like a touch of the nature 🌹

The second saree which I picked from my mamma’s wardrobe is in the shade off white and the border is golden colour . Then I opted for red blouse which has old bengali style design . I tried to look it simple. I did dramatic winged eye makeup. Here the hair style is very important part of this look . Recently I’ve fallen in love with hairbuns with gajra or any kinda flower in it . It really enhances the traditional look. So I made a simple loose bun hairstyle and add a fake flower in it . Believe me gyus this hair style gave me that charm what I thought about . Last I wore a red bindi. We, the Bengali girls know a red bindi can bring the elegance.

That’s it for today . Hope you will like this blog . See you soon a new blog .

Love ❀

Winter had affected our skin badly and made it dry , dull, lifeless. Summer is at our doorstep . So never ever compromise with your skin care.

When your skin will be healthy, happy then you will feel confidence within.

As my skin is dry type . I know how much it difficult to keep your skin hydrated . I believe in that, “less products, more beauty.” I just follow some basic skin care routine .

February fashion picks |The Style Bucket

February is here ! We have Valentine’s Day right around the corner. Of course , Valentine’s Day always brings an onslaught of red and pink outfits opinions. But , not all of us like the idea dressing in head_to_toe heart prints .

Sharing 3 pieces that I picked from sheinofficial that doesn’t scream cheesy . For those who are not aware of this brand , sheinofficial is an online fashion brand that has an amazing collection of all the latest trends from clothing, shein style dresses to all sorts of accessories at the most affordable prices. Most of the items on their site are glamorous.if you are someone who loves experimenting with style or trends then you can definitely find amazing pieces to suit your style . The style options are different depending on which country you are located in, for instance , US size 6 won’t be the same for UK size 6 clothing . With bodycon dresses , I would recommend going a size or two up. Also it’s a good idea to check their sizing chart before ordering from their site! (Here!)

Travel blog : A Trip to Darjeeling – the Queen of Hills

Darjeeling is a hill station of contrasts- it has a small town vibe, congested streets yet an unhurried place , stuck in time even as it embraces development.

Darjeeling is a popular hill station in west Bengal , situated in the foothills of Himalayas , it offers stunning views of kanchenjunga- the world’s third highest mountain.

Reaching Darjeeling :

By air : the nearest airport in Bagdogra airport which is about 70 km away from Darjeeling .

By rail: New Jalpaiguri properly known as NJP is the closest railway station . NJP to Darjeeling via Kurseong is a 3 hours .

Staying in Darjeeling:

Since decades the most popular place to stay in Darjeeling has been the Mall Road . But even it has fallen prey to commercialization just like other quaint hill stations of India have . Since I like to stay away from the maddening crowd , I decided to stay in a place called Ghoom which is famous for its monasteries and Toy train station .

I stayed in Sterling Resort in Ghoom and had the most amazing time and view from my window. One speciality of this Sterling poetry was that it offered stunning views of kanchenjunga from the rooms and the backyard .

Top place to visit in Darjeeling :

β€’ Tiger Hill ; Tiger Hill is indeed a most visited place in Darjeeling . It is a must visit place for all the Nature lovers . It requires you to woke up early in the morning and reach before 5 AM to witness the charismatic first rays of the sun on Mount Kanchenjunga . It get freezing cold and crowded early in the morning , so my tip would be to reach early and find the perfect spot to stand and make sure to stay covered and insulated .

Sunrise at Tiger Hill

β€’ Tea estates : For a chai lover like me , Darjeeling will always be synonymous to Tea Gardens. Tea Gardens are the pride of this hill station. Make sure you shop some fragrant tea for your loved ones .

Tea Estates

β€’ peace pagoda : Also known as the Japanese Temple , it is the tallest standing structure in Darjeeling and reflects four avatars of Buddha . It was build in traditional Japanese style in 1972 . A parikrama around the pagoda will offer you stunning views of the stunning views of the landscape and kanchenjunga .

Peace pagoda also known as Japanese Temple

β€’ Ghoom Monastery : yiga choeling Monastery popularly known as Ghoom Monastery was established in 1850 and is the oldest monastery of the region . I personally love visiting monasteries as they fill me with a sense of serenity and inner peace.

Ghoom Monastery

β€’ Batasia Loop : This a war memorial nestled at an elevation of 7000 ft, it has a lush green garden and a spiral loop for the Himalayan Mountain Railway .

Batasia Loop

β€’ Himalayan Mountain Railway : your trip to Darjeeling is incomplete without a Toy Train ride. This UNESCO world Heritage site has made its apprence in several Bollywood movies , remember Parineeta ? For longer rides one can take the route between NJP to Darjeeling, for shorter route one can ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom .

Famous Darjeeling Toy Train

β€’ Darjeeling Ropeway : This offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of the mesmerising hill station. The Rangeet Valley cable car promises a mind _ blowing view of the valley and the lush green tea gardens.

Aerial view of Tea gardens

β€’ Mall road : This is the Go To Place for all the shopping enthusiast. From amazing woollens to souvenir and gifts, you get everything here. Kids love this place because they get to ride there favourite horse. It is the best place to take a stroll in the evening while watching the tranquil sunset, shipping the famous Darjeeling tea and feasting on Momos.

Mall road

β€’ Glenary’s : Glenary’s Bakery is one of the finest eateries in Darjeeling and is situated in Mall Road. The vintage rooftop setting with the city view makes it a must visit restaurant .

Glenary’s Bakery

Darjeeling offers a blissful holiday experience with your family . Three to four nights are enough to explore the Queen of Hills . The gorgeous hills of Darjeeling are the perfect place to relax and breathe in fresh air away from city commotion.

I hope this post will help you in planning out your trip to Darjeeling. If you enjoyed reading this post , do share and follow my blog as I will be posting some more of my travel blog soon.
